My interests in marine ecology are broad.  I have worked in rocky intertidal zones, on commercial longline vessels, with larval fishes and in soft-sediment benthic communities.  I am particularly interested in the application of spatial analysis to conservation goals for marine populations.  I completed my MSc at the University of Washington, School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, studying the effects of marine reserves on larval fish production.  I now have the opportunity to assist in research focusing on the ecology of threatened marine vertebrates with a fabulous group of people.
