Objectives

  • Evaluate the effect of hypoxic zones on the spatial distribution and composition of the fish community.
  • Examine how fish habitat use and movements change in response to the formation of hypoxic zones.
  • Investigate the impact of intermittent hypoxic zones on habitat quality for juvenile fish.
  • Quantify short-term and long-term impacts of Hurricane Floyd on the fish community.
